I take great care in securely packaging all artwork to ensure it arrives at your destination in perfect condition. All artworks are carefully wrapped, cushioned, and packed with materials designed to protect them from damage during transit.
1.2. Shipping Method
All physical artwork will be shipped via Royal Mail/Parcelforce, with appropriate insurance and tracking based on the value and nature of the artwork.
2. Delivery Time and Shipping Costs
2.1. Shipping Times
Shipping times will vary based on your location and the shipping method chosen at checkout. An estimated delivery time will be provided when your order is dispatched. Please note that delivery times are estimates and delays may occur, especially during busy periods or due to unforeseen circumstances.
2.2. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs will be calculated based on the destination and size of the artwork. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated by Cecilliy Art that these are included in the final costs.
3. Breakages and Damages During Transit
3.1. Reporting Damages
If your artwork is damaged during transit, you must notify me immediately upon receipt of the package, and no later than 48 hours after delivery. Please take the following steps:
Contact me directly at cecilliyart@gmail.com to report the damage.
Provide photographic evidence of the damage to both the packaging and the artwork itself.
Retain all packaging materials for inspection, as this may be required by the carrier.
3.2. Compliance with Royal Mail and Parcelforce Terms
I comply with the terms and conditions set by Royal Mail and Parcelforce regarding breakages and damages that occur while the artwork is in their care. This includes their protocols for reporting damages, submitting claims, and any insurance coverage for lost or damaged items.
3.3. Insurance and Claims
All shipped artwork is covered by insurance provided by the carrier (Royal Mail or Parcelforce) against breakage or damage during transit, up to the value of the artwork, in accordance with the carrier’s terms and conditions.
If your artwork is damaged during transit, I will assist in submitting a claim to the carrier for reimbursement. This may involve providing necessary documentation and photographic evidence to the carrier, and following their claims process.
Please note that Royal Mail and Parcelforce have their own specific policies and time limits for making claims regarding damaged or lost goods. You may be required to cooperate with the carrier’s investigation and submit relevant documentation within the specified time frame.
3.4. Refunds or Replacements
If the artwork is damaged and a successful claim is made through the carrier, I will offer either:
A replacement artwork, if available, or
A refund for the damaged artwork, less any applicable shipping or handling costs.
Please note that this only applies if the damage is caused during the shipping process while the artwork is under the care of the carrier.
3.5. Exclusions
Claims for damage will not be considered if the artwork has been signed for and accepted without noting any visible damage to the packaging or contents.
Damage occurring after the artwork has been delivered and signed for by the recipient will not be eligible for reimbursement or replacement under this policy.
4. Responsibilities and Liabilities
4.1. Carrier’s Responsibility
While I ensure that all artworks are securely packaged, I cannot be held responsible for damage, loss, or delays once the artwork has been handed over to the shipping carrier (Royal Mail/Parcelforce). In the event of damage, the responsibility lies with the carrier, and any claims for compensation must be filed with them in accordance with their claims process.
4.2. Your Responsibility
It is your responsibility to check the condition of the artwork upon delivery and notify me promptly if there is any damage. Failure to notify me within 48 hours of receipt may result in the loss of eligibility for a claim or replacement.
4.3. Damage from Handling After Delivery
Once the artwork has been delivered, you are responsible for its care. Any damage caused after the artwork has been accepted and signed for is not covered by this policy.
5. Packaging and Return of Damaged Goods
5.1. Return of Damaged Artwork
In the case of damage during transit, you may be asked to return the artwork in its original packaging. This is necessary for submitting a claim to the carrier, as they may require the item to be inspected. I will provide instructions for returning the damaged artwork and cover the cost of return shipping if the damage occurred during delivery.
6. Exclusions and Limitations
6.1. Force Majeure
I am not liable for any delays or damages that result from events outside of my control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, strikes, war, or other unforeseeable circumstances. Such events are considered “force majeure” and will not affect the delivery or liability for breakages.
6.2. Handling of Returns and Damages
While I will make every effort to resolve any issues arising from damages during delivery, all claims are subject to the carrier’s investigation and approval process. If the carrier refuses the claim, I will not be able to provide a refund or replacement.
